Sona Comstar reported its highest-ever quarterly revenue, EBITDA, and adjusted net profit in Q3 FY26. Key highlights include:
- Revenue: ₹1,209 crores, a 39% YoY increase.
- EBITDA: ₹305 crores with a margin of 25.2%, reflecting a 30% YoY increase.
- Adjusted PAT: ₹181 crores, achieving a net profit margin of 14.9%, and a 20% YoY growth.
- Battery Electric Vehicles (BEV) accounted for 38% of the revenue.
9M FY26 Financial Performance
The company’s performance for the nine months ending December 31, 2025, also showcased solid growth:
- Revenue: ₹3,203 crores, up by 19% YoY.
- EBITDA: ₹796 crores, with an EBITDA margin of 24.9%.
- Adjusted PAT: ₹478 crores, resulting in a net profit margin of 14.8%, up 9% YoY.
- EV programs represent 71% of the net order book, which stands at ₹23,500 crores as of December 31, 2025.

Mr. Vivek Vikram Singh, MD & Group CEO, commented on the strong quarterly performance, noting that revenue growth was primarily driven by the expansion of electric vehicle traction motor and railway business in India. The company also commercialized a new hydraulic motor controller and has commenced sample production of in-cabin radar sensors.

- BEV Revenue Share: Revenue from Battery EV totaled ₹795 crores in 9M FY26, which constituted 33% of the total revenue.
- EV Programs: Sona Comstar added six new EV programs during 9M FY26, bringing the total to 64 programs across 33 customers.
- The company also commercialized a new hydraulic motor controller for electric farm equipment vehicles, receiving an order from a global OEM.
Other Key Developments
Sona Comstar is enhancing its ADAS capabilities through Novelic’s sensing and perception technologies. Sample production of in-cabin radar sensors has begun at the Chennai facility, with serial production anticipated in H2 CY27.
