SJVN Limited Board Approves ₹1,000 Crore Securitization, CFO Appointment

SJVN Limited’s Board of Directors has approved the securitization of balance future Revenue/Return on Equity (ROE) of the Nathpa Jhakri Hydro Electric Project (1,500 MW) to raise up to ₹1,000 Crores. This initiative aims to achieve the target for FY 2025-26 under the National Monetization Pipelines. Mr. Sipan Kumar Garg has been appointed as the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of the company.

Fund Raising Through Securitization

SJVN Limited will be raising funds up to ₹1,000 Crores through securitization. This involves leveraging the balance future Revenue/Return on Equity (ROE) of the Nathpa Jhakri Hydro Electric Project (1,500 MW). This financial strategy supports the company’s objectives for FY 2025-26 under the National Monetization Pipelines.

Appointment of Chief Financial Officer

The Board has approved the appointment of Mr. Sipan Kumar Garg as the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of SJVN Limited. Mr. Garg’s expertise is expected to provide strong financial leadership to the company.

Financial Results Highlights (Q2 FY26)

SJVN Limited reported standalone financial results for Q2 FY26. Key figures include:

  • Total Income: ₹1,032.68 Crore
  • Profit before exceptional items, net movement in regulatory deferral account balances and tax: ₹484.11 Crore
  • Profit before regulatory deferral account balances: ₹341.50 Crore
  • Total Comprehensive Income for the period: ₹369.32 Crore

Additional Financial Approvals

The Board also approved the standalone and consolidated financial results for the quarter ended September 30, 2025. Additionally, the board has sanctioned the utilization of issue proceeds/material deviation details regarding Non-Convertible Debt Securities and security cover details. There were also noted emphasis of matters related to CERC tariff regulations and projects in Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh.
