SJVN Limited Operational Milestones Achieved in Energy Generation for FY 2025–26

SJVN Limited has announced stellar performance for FY 2025–26, generating a total of 13,302 million units of energy. The company hit significant milestones across several power stations, including record-breaking output at the 1500 MW Nathpa Jhakri and 412 MW Rampur projects. These operational successes underscore SJVN’s commitment to supporting India’s ambitious energy transition and the broader goal of reaching 500 GW of non-fossil fuel capacity by 2030.

Record-Breaking Power Generation

During the fiscal year 2025–26, SJVN’s operational power stations reached a combined generation of 13,302 million units. This accomplishment sets a new benchmark for the organization, reflecting strong operational efficiency and the successful integration of its diverse energy assets.

Key Project Performance Highlights

Several major facilities contributed to this record output:

  • Nathpa Jhakri Hydro Power Station (1500 MW): Achieved its second-highest annual generation of 7,506.617 million units and crossed the historic milestone of 150 billion units of cumulative generation in March 2026.
  • Rampur Hydro Power Station (412 MW): Recorded its highest-ever annual output of 2,108.034 million units, marking the first time the station has crossed the 2,100 million units threshold in its eleven-year history.
  • Naitwar Mori Hydro Power Station (60 MW): Generated 310.37 million units, exceeding its design energy target by 17% in its second year of operations.
  • Bikaner Solar Power Station (1000 MW): Reached the significant milestone of generating one billion units of energy on March 19, 2026.

Strategic Vision and Growth

Management attributed these achievements to the dedication of the workforce and the continued support of the Ministry of Power and state governments. SJVN leadership emphasized that these successes are not only driving socio-economic development in project regions but also playing a vital role in the national energy landscape. Looking forward, the company remains focused on contributing substantially to India’s vision of achieving 500 GW of non-fossil fuel capacity by 2030.
