Shree Cement Board Approves New Integrated Cement Plant in Meghalaya

On April 4, 2026, the Board of Directors of Shree Cement officially approved the establishment of a new integrated cement production facility. Located in the state of Meghalaya, this project is a core component of the company’s broader business expansion strategy. By entering this region, the company aims to strengthen its manufacturing footprint and enhance its market presence.

Project Specifications and Investment

The upcoming facility is designed with an annual clinker capacity of 0.95 million tonnes per annum (MTPA) and a cement capacity of 0.99 MTPA. The estimated capital expenditure for this project is Rs. 1,800 crores. To support this significant investment, the company intends to utilize a combination of internal accruals and debt financing.

Timeline for Completion

The company has set a firm target for the commissioning of the new plant. The construction and development phase is scheduled to conclude by the quarter ending March 2028.
