Shipping Corporation of India (SCI) has announced that Jaswinder Singh, Director (L&PS), has been given additional charge of the Director (BC&T) position, effective January 1, 2026. This extension, approved by the Minister of Ports, Shipping and Waterways, will last until June 30, 2026, or until further notice, pending ACC approval. Rear Admiral Jaswinder Singh has extensive maritime experience.
Leadership Update
Jaswinder Singh, the Director of Liner and Passenger Services (L&PS) at the Shipping Corporation of India (SCI), has been assigned additional responsibilities. He will now also oversee the Bulk and Container Traffic (BC&T) division.
Terms of Additional Charge
The Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways approved this extension on December 31, 2025. The additional charge is effective from January 1, 2026, and will continue until June 30, 2026, or until further orders are issued. This is subject to the approval of the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC).
Director Profile
Rear Admiral Jaswinder Singh brings over three decades of maritime experience to the role. He previously headed the Liner and Passenger Services segment. He also heads SCI Bharat IFSC Ltd, a Wholly Owned Subsidiary of SCI, and Sethusamudram Corporation Ltd.
