Samvardhana Motherson International Limited announced the official completion of its joint venture with Taiwan’s Macauto Industrial Co., Ltd. on February 27, 2026. The new entity, Motherson Macauto Solutions Limited (MMASL), has been established to design and manufacture automotive components, including sunshade and luggage cover systems. Equity holding is split 50% + 1 share for Motherson and 50% – 1 share for Macauto.
Joint Venture Formation Concluded
Samvardhana Motherson International Limited has confirmed the successful completion of the formation of its Joint Venture (JV) with Macauto Industrial Co., Ltd., a company listed on the Taiwan Stock Exchange. The final agreement and establishment of the JV entity were completed on February 27, 2026, following the fulfillment of all prerequisite conditions.
New Entity and Business Scope
The newly formed wholly-owned subsidiary is named Motherson Macauto Solutions Limited (MMASL). This joint venture is principally established to design, develop, manufacture, assemble, and service a diverse portfolio of automotive components. This portfolio includes, but is not limited to, door, window, and roof sunshade systems, luggage cover systems, and wind deflectors for use in automotive applications.
Equity Structure Finalized
Following the completion of the transaction, the equity shareholding of MMASL has been finalized between the partners. The equity is divided between Samvardhana Motherson (along with nominee shareholders) and Macauto (along with nominee shareholders) in the ratio of 50% + 1 share and 50% – 1 share, respectively.
This announcement follows prior disclosures made on August 1, 2025, and September 13, 2025, regarding the execution of the initial Joint Venture Agreement (JVA).
