Board Update
Mark James Reid, currently serving as a Board Member of Route Mobile, is set to depart from the Proximus Group by the end of January 2026. Reid also holds a position as a Board Member of Proximus Global S.A., the holding company.
Reason for Departure
Reid’s decision to leave the Proximus Group is driven by his desire to pursue other career opportunities in the United Kingdom. He will remain on Route Mobile’s Board until his official departure from Proximus.
Proximus Global Divestment
Before taking on the responsibilities of Proximus Global CEO ad interim between April and November, Reid’s work with his team realized consistently strong financial performances in a context of increasing market competition and material investment needs to build the gigabit network of the future in Belgium, but he also executed a rigorous M&A strategy leading the Group to a successful divestment program of around EUR 500 million by the end of 2025.
Management Commentary
Stijn Bijnens, CEO of the Proximus Group, expressed gratitude for Mark’s contributions, stating, “Together with the Board and my colleagues from the Proximus Leadership Squad, I would like to thank Mark for his major contribution to the financial growth and health of Proximus, in a period of an unseen CAPEX investment program in our fiber network. With his team, he equally showed courage and determination to implement a considerable domestic divestment program. And for sure, I want to thank Mark for taking on ad interim the CEO role at Proximus Global till November. We wish Mark a lot of success in his new endeavors.”
