Mrs. Shobhana Palli has been appointed as the Vertical Head/ RI & Metro, moving from her previous role as Regional Head of the Southern Region Project Office. Simultaneously, Colonel Mahesh Narayan joins the senior management as the new Regional Head for the Southern Region Project Office, bringing over 30 years of extensive infrastructure and military leadership experience.

RITES Limited has officially confirmed the transition of two senior leaders within the organization to bolster its core infrastructure operations. These changes, which came into effect on April 8, 2026, are part of the company’s efforts to optimize its leadership structure for ongoing and future projects.
Strategic Realignment
Mrs. Shobhana Palli, who previously served as GGM/Civil and Regional Head for the Southern Region Project Office (SRPO), has been transferred to the RI Vertical in Gurgaon. In her new capacity, she will lead the RI & Metro vertical, leveraging her 31+ years of multidisciplinary engineering experience, which includes a tenure at the company dating back to 1995.
New Appointment to Southern Region
Colonel Mahesh Narayan has been appointed as the Regional Head of the Southern Region Project Office (SRPO) in Bangalore. Colonel Narayan brings over 30 years of experience to the role, combining military discipline with expertise as an infrastructure strategist. An IIT Delhi alumnus, he has been recognized globally for his contributions to airport infrastructure, pavement engineering, and the successful delivery of over 140 facilities across 30+ countries. His proven ability to lead high-pressure projects makes him a key addition to the senior management team.
