RITES Limited Appointment of Shri Vinod Kumar Sharma as Chief Vigilance Officer

RITES Limited has announced the appointment of Shri Vinod Kumar Sharma, ITS (1999) batch, as the new Chief Vigilance Officer (CVO). This significant managerial change became effective on February 09, 2026. Shri Sharma joins the Senior Management team with over 25 years of experience in the Telecom Sector across BSNL, BBNL, and DoT. His appointment is for an initial term of 03 years.

RITES Announces Key Management Change

RITES Limited, a Schedule ‘A’ Enterprise of the Government of India, has formally disclosed an important change in its Senior Management structure. Effective from February 09, 2026, Shri Vinod Kumar Sharma, belonging to the ITS (1999) service, has assumed the role of the company’s Chief Vigilance Officer (CVO).

This appointment is based on the directives issued by the Ministry of Railways and will be effective for an initial period of 03 years from the date of charge assumption, or until further orders are issued, whichever is earlier.

Profile of the New CVO

Shri Vinod Kumar Sharma brings substantial expertise to RITES, having accumulated more than 25 years of experience within the Telecom Sector. He is a graduate in Electronic Engineering from Madan Mohan Malaviya University of Technology, Gorakhpur.

His professional history includes significant roles in organizations such as BSNL, BBNL, and DoT. In these capacities, he was responsible for installation, expansion, operation, and maintenance of telecom services, and also oversaw major Government projects like NoFM.

Prior to joining RITES, Shri Sharma served as the Business Area Head in Muzaffarpur, Bihar Telecom Circle, BSNL. The disclosure confirms that there are no reported relationships between Shri Sharma and the existing directors of RITES.
