Reliance Industries Investment in Reliance Enterprise Intelligence Limited

Reliance Intelligence Limited will invest Rs. 2 crore in Reliance Enterprise Intelligence Limited (REIL). REIL is to become a joint venture with Facebook Overseas, Inc. The company will hold 70% of REIL, while Facebook will hold 30%. Reliance Intelligence and Facebook have committed to an initial investment of ~Rs. 855 crore in the AI venture.

Strategic Investment in AI Enterprise

Reliance Intelligence Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of Reliance Industries, will invest Rs. 2 crore towards the initial subscription of 20,00,000 equity shares of Rs.10 each in Reliance Enterprise Intelligence Limited (REIL). This investment was announced on October 25, 2025.

Joint Venture with Facebook

REIL will become a joint venture company with Facebook Overseas, Inc., as per the amended and restated joint venture agreement. The primary focus of REIL will be developing, marketing, and distributing enterprise AI services. This is in line with the company’s focus on new technologies.

Ownership and Investment Details

As per the joint venture agreement, Reliance Intelligence will hold 70% of REIL, while Facebook will hold the remaining 30%. Both Reliance Intelligence and Facebook have jointly committed to an initial investment of approximately Rs. 855 crore into REIL. This partnership signifies a major push into the AI sector.

Transaction Details

The transaction does not qualify as a related party transaction. The company has confirmed that no governmental or regulatory approvals were required for the incorporation of REIL.
