Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL) has announced the appointment of Saleem Ahmad as the new Chairman & Managing Director, effective December 23, 2025. This follows the cessation of Sukhmal Chand Jain’s term. Ahmad, previously a Director at NBCC (India) Ltd., brings over 35 years of construction sector experience to RVNL. The appointment aims to strengthen RVNL’s leadership during a period of significant infrastructure development.

There has been a change in the leadership at Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL). Saleem Ahmad has officially assumed the role of Chairman & Managing Director (CMD), effective December 23, 2025 (A/N). He previously held the position of Director (Projects) at NBCC (India) Ltd.
Departure of Sukhmal Chand Jain
The appointment follows the cessation of Sukhmal Chand Jain’s role as Chairman & Managing Director of RVNL, also effective December 23, 2025 (A/N).
Ahmad’s Extensive Experience
Saleem Ahmad has over 35 years of experience in the construction sector. Prior to joining NBCC, he served as Executive Director (Civil) at Delhi Metro Rail Corporation Ltd. He holds a degree in Civil Engineering from Jamia Millia Islamia University, New Delhi. His experience includes large-scale infrastructure projects, bridges, tunnels, residential and commercial developments.
