Landmark Cinema Debut in Agra

PVR INOX Limited marked its entry into the ‘City of Love’ on March 20, 2026, with the opening of a premier 4-screen multiplex at Anjana Central, MG Road, Agra. The debut screening featured Dhurandhar: The Revenge. This launch aims to elevate Agra’s lifestyle and entertainment landscape, aligning with the state’s $1 Trillion economic vision.

Premium Features and Capacity

The new cinema, developed under the Franchise Owned Company Operated (FOCO) model, offers a total of 503 seats, including 89 Recliners across the four auditoriums. Guests will experience top-tier technology, including RGB Laser projection, Dolby 7.1 sound system featuring HARMAN (JBL) speakers, and a next-generation 3D system. The design emphasizes a calm, café-inspired aesthetic, moving away from traditional concepts to create a “social hub” experience.

Impact on Tourism and Community

The multiplex is designed to enhance Agra’s appeal for global tourists, offering high-end evening options that may encourage visitors to stay longer in the city. Furthermore, the FOCO model ensures local business owners partner directly with PVR INOX, fostering economic growth within the city and creating career paths in hospitality and technical management for local youth.

With this addition, PVR INOX reinforces its position as India’s largest film exhibition company. The current nationwide network now stands at 1,799 screens spread across 359 properties located in 114 cities across India and Sri Lanka.
