PowerGrid Declared Successful Bidder for Interstate Transmission Project

Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (POWERGRID) has been declared a successful bidder for an Interstate Transmission System project. The project involves building, owning, operating, and transferring (BOOT) infrastructure. The Letter of Intent was received on December 15, 2025. The project includes 765 kV D/c transmission lines in Odisha & Andhra Pradesh.

TBCB Project Win

PowerGrid has been declared the successful bidder for a Tariff Based Competitive Bidding (TBCB) project. The project aims to establish an Inter-State Transmission System.

Project Details

The project, based on a Build, Own, Operate, and Transfer (BOOT) model, involves constructing 765 kV D/c transmission lines. These lines will traverse the states of Odisha and Andhra Pradesh, including associated line bays and reactors at both ends. The Letter of Intent (LoI) was officially received by POWERGRID on December 15, 2025.
