Before his elevation to the top position, Shri Vamsi held the role of Director (Projects), where he played a pivotal part in the company’s operational success.

Shri Vamsi is a distinguished engineering professional with a strong academic foundation, including degrees in Engineering and Post Graduate Diplomas in Management from the Management Development Institute (MDI). His professional journey spans more than 33 years, characterized by leadership roles in regional and corporate strategy. Strategic Vision and Achievements
Throughout his career, Shri Vamsi has been instrumental in several organizational milestones. He was a founding member of the company’s Regulatory Cell and served as the CEO of POWERGRID Teleservices Limited, where he led the expansion of the telecom business and initiated the first Data Centre project. In his recent capacity as Director (Projects), he oversaw record-breaking performance in Capitalisation and CAPEX, while driving transformational digital and mechanization reforms to enhance project efficiency across the organization.
