PNC Infratech Receives Provisional Completion Certificate for Kanpur Lucknow Expressway Project

PNC Infratech announced that its subsidiary, Awadh Expressway Private Limited, has received the Provisional Completion Certificate (PCOD) for the Kanpur Lucknow Expressway project. The project involves the construction of a 6-lane upgradable to 8-lane expressway. The PCOD is effective from October 1, 2025. The project was declared fit for commercial operations following an assessment by the Independent Engineer.

Kanpur Lucknow Expressway Achieves Completion

PNC Infratech Limited announced that Awadh Expressway Private Limited, one of its subsidiary companies, has achieved provisional completion for the Kanpur Lucknow Expressway project. This achievement is a significant milestone for the company.

Project Details

The project entails the construction of a 6-lane expressway that is upgradable to 8-lane, spanning from km 28.500 to 73.744 km. This section is located in the State of Uttar Pradesh and operates on Hybrid Annuity Mode under the Bharatmala Pariyojana (Package-2).

Key Dates

The project was officially appointed on November 10, 2022, with a completion period of 910 days. The initially scheduled completion date was May 8, 2025. The Provisional Completion Certificate (PCOD) is dated February 4, 2026, and recognizes the project’s commercial operations starting from October 1, 2025, after receiving approval from the Competent Authority.

Project Cost

The Bid Project Cost (BPC) for this undertaking is Rs. 1513.0 Crores, including price index multiple as per the Concession Agreement.
