This is to ensure safe shut down of industrial activity. The notice alleges certain violations. In addition to the closure, the GPCB has directed the submission of a bank guarantee of Rs. 15,00,000/- with a validity of one year.

The Company believes the alleged violation is unsubstantiated and is challenging the notice. Piramal Pharma has filed an urgent Writ Petition with the Gujarat High Court seeking intervention.
