GPCB Directs Closure

The GPCB notice directs the closure of operations at the Dahej plant located at Plot No. D-2/11/A/1, GIDC Dahej, Taluka – Vagra, District – Bharuch, 392130, Gujarat, India. This is to ensure safe shut down of industrial activity. The notice alleges certain violations. In addition to the closure, the GPCB has directed the submission of a bank guarantee of Rs. 15,00,000/- with a validity of one year.

Company Response

The Company believes the alleged violation is unsubstantiated and is challenging the notice. Piramal Pharma has filed an urgent Writ Petition with the Gujarat High Court seeking intervention. The Company believes in its technical and legal position and is committed to maintaining environmental standards.
