NTPC’s subsidiary, NTPC Green Energy Limited, has achieved Commercial Operation Date (COD) for a 9.9 MW part capacity of a wind energy project, effective September 24, 2025. The project is located in Bhuj, Gujarat, and is part of a larger 92.4 MW wind project. This addition increases NTPC group’s total installed capacity to 83,036 MW. The project is operated by a group company of NTPC Green Energy Limited.
Wind Energy Capacity Addition
NTPC Green Energy Limited (NGEL), a subsidiary of NTPC, has announced the commencement of commercial operations for a portion of its wind energy project. As of September 24, 2025, a 9.9 MW capacity has achieved its Commercial Operation Date (COD).
Project Details
The wind power project, with a total installed capacity of 92.4 MW, is located in Bhuj, Gujarat. The project is being managed by Ayana Renewable Power Four Private Limited, a subsidiary of Ayana Renewable Power Pvt. Ltd.. ONGC NTPC Green Private holds a joint venture stake in Ayana Renewable Power Pvt. Ltd.
Impact on NTPC Group Capacity
With this addition, the total installed and commercial capacity of the NTPC group has risen to 83,036 MW. Furthermore, the total installed capacity of the NGEL Group has increased to 7382.475 MW, from 7372.575 MW.
