NTPC Limited Subsidiary Achieves Commercial Operation for 50 MW Wind Project Capacity

NTPC Green Energy Limited (NGEL), a subsidiary, has successfully commissioned the first part capacity of 50 MW from the 200 MW Dayapar Wind Energy Project Phase-II located in Gujarat. Commercial Operation Date (COD) for this segment was declared effective February 26, 2026. Following this declaration, the total installed capacity of the entire NTPC group has reached 88,182 MW, with commercial capacity standing at 87,102 MW.

Capacity Addition Update

NTPC Limited has announced a significant capacity addition through its subsidiary, NTPC Green Energy Limited (NGEL). This update relates to the Dayapar Wind Energy Project Phase-II, situated in Gujarat, which has a total planned capacity of 200 MW.

Declaration of Commercial Operation

The initial tranche of capacity, amounting to 50 MW, has been officially declared operational. The Commercial Operation Date (COD) for this segment commenced on February 26, 2026. This capacity addition was facilitated through NTPC Renewable Energy Limited, a stepdown subsidiary of NGEL.

Impact on Group Capacity

With this commissioning, the consolidated operational capacity figures for the NTPC group have been updated. The total installed capacity of the entire group now stands at 88,182 MW. Correspondingly, the total commercial capacity has reached 87,102 MW, effective from the same date.

Subsidiary Update (NTPC Green Energy Limited)

Separately, the subsidiary, NTPC Green Energy Limited, confirmed that its current commercial capacity stood at 9151.08 MW prior to this announcement. The addition of the 50 MW capacity increases the total installed capacity for the NTPC Green Energy Limited Group to 9201.08 MW.
