NTPC Green Energy Limited (NGEL), a wholly-owned subsidiary of NTPC, has incorporated a new entity named Chhattisgarh NTPC Green Energy Limited. The incorporation took place on December 5th, 2025.
Joint Venture Details
Chhattisgarh NTPC Green Energy Limited is a joint venture between NGEL and Chhattisgarh State Power Generation Company Limited (CSPGCL), with a shareholding ratio of 74:26, respectively. This was confirmed on December 5th, 2025.
Renewable Energy Focus
The newly incorporated company will focus on developing, operating, and maintaining a Renewable Energy Park, potentially including Ultra Mega Renewable Energy Power Parks (UMREPP), and other renewable projects in Chhattisgarh. Plans include solar, wind, and hybrid projects with a capacity of up to 2 GW, as well as identifying reservoirs for floating solar projects.
