NTPC Green Energy Signs MoU with CtrlS Datacenter for RE Project Development

NTPC Green Energy Limited (NGEL) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with CtrlS Datacenter Limited to explore opportunities for developing Renewable Energy (RE) projects. The agreement aims to establish 2 GW or more of RE RTC (Round-The-Clock) power for CtrlS Datacenters across India. This collaboration supports CtrlS’s captive consumption needs and enhances NTPC’s green energy portfolio.

Strategic Collaboration for Renewable Energy

NTPC Green Energy Limited (NGEL), a subsidiary of NTPC Limited, and CtrlS Datacenter Limited have entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on October 31, 2025, in New Delhi. The partnership focuses on exploring business opportunities in the renewable energy sector to power CtrlS’s datacenters.

Projected Capacity and Scope

The MoU aims to develop Renewable Energy (RE) projects with a capacity of 2 GW or more. The focus is to supply RE RTC (Round-The-Clock) power to CtrlS Datacenters located across India, supporting their energy requirements for captive consumption.

Leadership Statements

The MoU was signed by Sh. Sarit Maheshwari, CEO of NGEL & NTPC REL, and Sh. Sridhar Pinnapureddy, Founder & Chairman of CtrlS Datacenter Ltd. Both entities express commitment towards promoting green energy initiatives and sustainable solutions for datacenter operations.
