NTPC Green Energy Limited Declares Commercial Operation for 50 MW Wind Project Capacity

NTPC Green Energy Limited announced the declaration of commercial operation for the first part capacity of 50 MW from the 200 MW Dayapar Wind Energy Project Phase-II in Gujarat. This operation is effective from February 26, 2026. This addition increases the total installed capacity of the NTPC Green Energy Limited Group from 9151.08 MW to 9201.08 MW.

Declaration of Commercial Operation

NTPC Green Energy Limited has formally announced the commencement of commercial operations for a tranche of its renewable energy portfolio. The first part capacity, totaling 50 MW, stemming from the 200 MW Dayapar Wind Energy Project Phase-II located in Gujarat, is now declared operational.

This declaration is effective from 00:00 hrs on February 26, 2026. The Dayapar Wind Energy Project Phase-II is being executed by NTPC Renewable Energy Limited, which is a wholly owned subsidiary of NTPC Green Energy Limited.

Impact on Installed Capacity

This successful commissioning marks a significant step in capacity addition for the group. The current commercial capacity of the NTPC Green Energy Limited Group stood at 9151.08 MW prior to this announcement. With the inclusion of this 50 MW capacity, the total installed capacity of the NTPC Green Energy Limited Group has now increased to 9201.08 MW.
