NTPC’s subsidiary, NTPC Green Energy Limited (NGEL), has announced the commencement of commercial operations for a 95.75 MW part capacity of its 1255 MW Khavda-I Solar PV Project in Gujarat, effective October 18, 2025. Following this, the total installed capacity of the NTPC group will reach 84,002 MW, while NGEL’s total capacity will stand at 7515.725 MW.
Khavda-I Solar Project Update
NTPC Green Energy Limited (NGEL), a subsidiary of NTPC Limited, has declared the commencement of commercial operation for a portion of its Khavda-I Solar PV Project. The project, located in Gujarat, now has a part capacity of 95.75 MW operational as of October 18, 2025. This project is part of the 1255 MW capacity under the CPSU scheme Phase-II Tranche-III.
Capacity Additions and Group Totals
With this new addition, the total installed and commercial capacity of the NTPC group will reach 84,002 MW. The commercial capacity of the NTPC Green Energy Limited Group now stands at 7419.975 MW. The installed capacity of NGEL group will increase to 7515.725 MW.
