NTPC’s subsidiary, NTPC Green Energy Limited (NGEL), will add 37.5 MW of solar capacity on January 17, 2026, through a third-party commercial operation declaration. This addition increases NTPC Group’s total installed capacity to 87,324 MW and its commercial capacity to 86,244 MW. The solar capacity comes from a project in Bhuj, Gujarat, managed by Ayana Renewable Power Four Private Limited.

NTPC Green Energy Limited (NGEL), a subsidiary of NTPC, is set to increase its solar power capacity. A 37.5 MW solar capacity addition is expected on January 17, 2026. This capacity is part of a larger 150 MW solar project located in Bhuj, Gujarat.
Project Details
The 37.5 MW capacity is part of a 150 MW Solar Project managed by Ayana Renewable Power Four Private Limited, a subsidiary of Ayana Renewable Power Pvt. Ltd. Ayana Renewable Power is a wholly-owned subsidiary of ONGC NTPC Green Private.
Impact on NTPC Group Capacity
With the addition of this 37.5 MW, the total installed capacity of the NTPC group will reach 87,324 MW, and the total commercial capacity will be 86,244 MW.
NTPC Green Energy Limited Group Capacity
Following this addition, the total installed capacity of the NGEL Group is expected to increase to 8347.78 MW from its current capacity of 8310.28 MW.
