NTPC’s subsidiary, NTPC Green Energy Limited (NGEL), has successfully commissioned a 125 MW solar power project at Bhadla, Rajasthan, effective January 31, 2026. This is part of a larger 500 MW project. With this addition, the total installed and commercial capacity of the NTPC group now stands at 87,790 MW and 86,710 MW, respectively, solidifying its position in the renewable energy sector.
Solar Project Commissioning
NTPC Green Energy Limited (NGEL), a subsidiary of NTPC, has declared the Commercial Operation Date (COD) for a portion of its Bhadla Solar PV Project located in Phalodi, Rajasthan. The newly commissioned capacity amounts to 125 MW, representing the second part of a larger 500 MW project. The effective date of commercial operation is January 31, 2026.
Increased Capacity
Following the commissioning of this 125 MW capacity, the total installed capacity of the NTPC group has reached 87,790 MW. The total commercial capacity now stands at 86,710 MW, showcasing NTPC’s growing presence in the renewable energy landscape.
