The company achieved a total production of 5.35 million tonnes (MT) and total sales of 5.90 MT for the month. These figures represent a notable increase compared to the same period in the previous year, highlighting the company’s sustained growth momentum as it concludes the 2025-26 fiscal year.
Monthly Production and Sales Highlights
For the month of March 2026, NMDC Limited reported a total iron ore production of 5.35 MT, up from 3.55 MT in March 2025. Sales performance also saw significant growth, reaching 5.90 MT compared to 4.21 MT in the corresponding month of the prior year. The Chhattisgarh sector led the output with 4.01 MT, while the Karnataka sector contributed 1.34 MT to the monthly total.
Fiscal Year Cumulative Performance
On a cumulative basis for the 2025-26 fiscal year, NMDC has shown strong operational results. Total production for the year reached 53.15 MT, marking a substantial increase over the 44.07 MT recorded by the end of March 2025. Similarly, total sales for the fiscal year stood at 50.23 MT, exceeding the previous year’s total of 44.40 MT.
Regional Breakdown
The company’s performance remains anchored by its two primary operating hubs:
- Chhattisgarh: Cumulative production reached 37.52 MT with sales of 34.67 MT for the full fiscal year.
- Karnataka: The region demonstrated steady output with 15.63 MT in cumulative production and 15.56 MT in cumulative sales for the year.
