The renewable energy assets being transferred have a combined capacity of 1,430 MW. This move aligns with the company’s asset monetization plan approved by the Ministry of Coal.
Financial Impact
The revenue generated by these 7 renewable energy assets in FY25 amounted to ₹701.61 Crore, representing 4.59% of NLC India’s total revenue of ₹15,282.96 Crore. The net worth of these assets is valued at ₹3,869.26 Crore, which is 20.67% of NLC India’s total net worth as of March 31, 2025.
Transaction Details
The consideration for the transfer will be settled through the issuance of equity shares or acknowledgement of debt by NIRL. This consideration will be adjusted based on the revised opening balance sheets of the Renewable Energy Assets on the date of transfer.
Subsidiary Details
NLC India Renewables Limited (NIRL) is a 100% subsidiary of NLC India Limited. The transaction is based on the book value of the RE assets as of March 31, 2025.
Expected Completion
The transfer is expected to be completed by December 31, 2025.
