Subansiri Project Update
NHPC Limited has announced an update regarding the commissioning of the Subansiri Lower HE Project (2000 MW). This announcement was officially made on January 30, 2026.
Commissioning of Unit # 3
As of February 1, 2026, Unit # 3 of the Subansiri Lower HE Project, with a capacity of 250 MW, has been successfully commissioned. The project is located in Assam and Arunachal Pradesh.
Project Status
With the commissioning of Unit # 3, a total of two units (Unit # 2 and Unit # 3) of the Subansiri Lower HE Project are now operational. The commissioning dates of the remaining units will be communicated in due course.
