Interim Dividend Approved
NHPC Limited’s Board has declared an interim dividend of 14%, equivalent to ₹1.40 per equity share, on the paid-up equity shares with a face value of ₹10 each for the financial year 2025-26. The record date for determining shareholders’ eligibility for the dividend is set as February 10, 2026. Payments will be processed according to the stipulations of the Companies Act, 2013.
MoU Cancellation
The board approved the cancellation of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) and Promoters’ Agreement with Green Energy Development Corporation of Odisha Limited (GEDCOL). This agreement initially aimed to establish a Joint Venture (JV) for implementing floating solar power projects across various water reservoirs in Odisha.
Directorate Changes
NHPC Limited will withdraw its nominee director from the Board of Directors of PTC India Limited (PTC). This decision also involves relinquishing NHPC’s status and rights as a ‘Promoter’ of PTC, complying with an Office Memorandum issued by the Ministry of Power, Government of India, dated January 16, 2026.
Financial Performance (Q3 2026)
NHPC Limited reported standalone unaudited financial results for Q3 2026, with total income at ₹2,306.60 crore compared to ₹2,425.51 crore in Q3 2025. Profit before tax was ₹(340.39) crore, compared to ₹314.31 crore. The company reported a profit of ₹292.87 crore for the period.
