NCC Limited Secures ₹6,828.94 Crore Coal Extraction Order

NCC Limited has received a Letter of Acceptance from Central Coalfields Limited for a major coal extraction and transportation project. The order, valued at ₹6,828.94 Crore, involves extraction and transportation of overburden and coal at the Amrapali OCP in Jharkhand. The project is expected to last for 7 years with an initial 360-day development phase.

Significant Project Award

NCC Limited has been awarded a substantial contract by Central Coalfields Limited. The project, officially confirmed on October 24, 2025, marks a significant addition to NCC’s portfolio in the resource sector.

Project Details

The project entails hiring Heavy Earth Moving Machinery (HEMM) for:

  • Removal of 413.59 M CuM of Overburden (OB).
  • Extraction of 233.325 MT of Coal.
  • Transportation to Shivpur siding and surface stock yard under different lead slabs.
  • Wagon loading of 139.995 MT of Coal at Shivpur siding at Amrapali OCP, Chandragupt Area in Jharkhand.

The total contract value is ₹6,828.94 Crore (excluding GST).

Project Timeline

The project is expected to span 7 years of production, preceded by a 360-day development period, totaling 2915 days.
