NALCO Pays ₹988.88 Crore Dividend to Government for FY25

National Aluminium Company Limited (NALCO) has paid a record dividend of ₹988.88 crore to the Government of India for the financial year 2024-25. This represents the highest-ever dividend payout by the company. NALCO has consistently declared dividends since 1992, contributing significantly to the national exchequer.

Record Dividend for FY25

National Aluminium Company Limited (NALCO), a Navratna CPSE under the Ministry of Mines, Government of India, has distributed a substantial dividend for the financial year 2024-25. The total dividend payout amounts to ₹1,928.46 crore, with ₹988.88 crore being allocated to the Government of India. This marks the highest dividend ever paid by the company.

Consistent Profitability

NALCO, which commenced commercial operations in 1987, has maintained a consistent track record of profitability and dividend distribution since 1992. To date, the company has disbursed a cumulative dividend of ₹14,331 crore, of which ₹9,556 crore has been remitted to the Government of India, which currently holds 51.28% equity in NALCO.

Strong Financial Performance

During the first half of the current financial year, NALCO has demonstrated robust physical and financial performance. Following exceptional results in Q2 FY 2025-26, the company declared an interim dividend of ₹4 per equity share (i.e., 80% on the face value of ₹5 each), amounting to ₹734.65 crore for FY 2025-26.
