This move is designed to accelerate capital allocation towards Engineering Intelligence (EI), a high-growth area, aligning with LTTS’s 5-year strategic Lakshya Plan. The divestment sharpens focus on core technology bets in Mobility, Tech, and Sustainability segments.

L&T Technology Services Limited (LTTS), a global leader in AI, Digital, and ER&D services, confirmed on March 25, 2026, the divestment of its Smart World and Communication (SWC) business to AMI Paradigm Solutions Private Limited. This divestment is a crucial step in the company’s portfolio rebalancing aimed at accelerating investment in digital engineering & core AI capabilities.

Pivoting to Engineering Intelligence

The core rationale behind this transaction is to double down on Engineering Intelligence (EI) as part of LTTS’s next 5-year roadmap. Under the 5-year strategic Lakshya Plan, LTTS is focusing on 6 large technology bets, with EI positioned as a key pillar. This strategy sharpens the company’s focus across its three primary segments: Mobility, Tech, and Sustainability, consolidating its positioning as a global engineering intelligence partner.

Amit Chadha, CEO and Managing Director of LTTS, stated that reframing strategic bets around EI, Software, and Digital Manufacturing will drive faster growth opportunities for LTTS.

Details of the Acquirer: AMI Paradigm

The acquiring entity is AMI Paradigm Solutions, a special purpose entity established through a joint investment between AM Group (promoted by the founders of Greenko Group) and ParadigmIT. AMI Paradigm focuses on advancing AI for Public Systems and Critical Infrastructure Services. The acquired SWC capabilities across India and other geographies are expected to complement AMI Paradigm’s long-term growth strategy.

Anil Chalamalasetty, Chairman, AM Group, emphasized that the SWC business is critical for operationalizing AI across mission-critical systems in governments, utilities, and transport networks. Sridhar Gadhi of ParadigmIT added that the combination aims to build an AI-led platform focused on domain-specific models and outcome-driven systems for governments and enterprises.
