KNR Ramanattukara Infra Private Limited (KRIPL), a subsidiary of KNR Constructions, has reached a settlement agreement with the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI). KRIPL will construct a 377-meter viaduct at its own cost, scheduled for completion by February 28, 2026. In return, NHAI has agreed to extend the project timeline without damages and will drop penalty proceedings against KRIPL and its promoters.
Viaduct Project Agreement
KNR Constructions’ subsidiary, KRIPL, has finalized an agreement with NHAI regarding a viaduct construction project. The settlement, dated October 16, 2025, outlines KRIPL’s commitment to complete a crucial segment of the project.
Key Terms of the Agreement
Under the agreement, KRIPL will construct a 377-meter viaduct section (Km 276.730 to Km 277.140) at its own expense. The deadline for completion is set for February 28, 2026, inclusive of a 90-day grace period. NHAI will grant an extension of time without imposing damages for the project.
NHAI Concessions
As part of the settlement, NHAI has also agreed to drop all penalties and debarment proceedings against KRIPL and its promoters. Furthermore, KRIPL and its promoters have proposed that they will not participate in any NHAI bids until November 30, 2025.
Provisional Completion Date
The likely date for issuance of the Provisional Completion Certificate for the project, excluding the viaduct stretch (Km 276.730 to Km 277.140), is projected to be July 18, 2025, without damages.
