The National Company Law Appellate Tribunal (NCLAT) has dismissed an appeal filed by Kirloskar Brothers related to a Company Petition. The dismissal comes after the Tribunal noted that the original Company Petition has been decided on May 21, 2024, and that numerous appeals have been filed. As such, the interim order appeal became infructuous. The order was issued on September 19, 2025.
NCLAT Order on Company Petition Appeal
The Hon’ble National Company Law Appellate Tribunal (NCLAT) has issued an order, dated September 19, 2025, dismissing Company Appeal (AT) No. 207 of 2023. The appeal was filed by Kirloskar Brothers Limited against Kirloskar Industries Limited.
Background of the Dismissal
The dismissal is based on the fact that the original Company Petition No. 193/2017, which the appeal concerned, was decided on May 21, 2024. Since that ruling, various company appeals have been filed and are currently pending before the Tribunal. The NCLAT concluded that the appeal against the interim order, therefore, has become infructuous.
Impact on Kirloskar Brothers
