JSW Steel Consolidated Crude Steel Production Reaches 24.95 Lakh Tonnes

JSW Steel reported consolidated crude steel production for October 2025 at 24.95 Lakh tonnes, a 9% year-over-year increase. Indian operations capacity utilization was 83% due to a shutdown at Vijayanagar. Excluding this, capacity utilization was approximately 92%. Blast Furnace 3 is expected to resume production in February 2026.

Production Overview

JSW Steel’s consolidated crude steel production in October 2025 reached 24.95 Lakh tonnes, demonstrating a 9% increase compared to the previous year.

Indian Operations

The capacity utilization of JSW Steel’s Indian operations was 83%. This was primarily due to the shutdown of Blast Furnace 3 (BF3) at Vijayanagar, which is undergoing an upgrade to increase its capacity from 3.0 MTPA to 4.5 MTPA.

Excluding the impact of the BF3 shutdown, the capacity utilization rate for the Indian operations would have been approximately 92% in October 2025. The company anticipates the BF3 to be back in operation in February 2026.
