The National Company Law Appellate Tribunal (NCLAT) has issued an order regarding Ennore Coal Terminal Private Limited (ECTPL), a subsidiary of JSW Infrastructure. This order, dated January 29, 2026, was received by the company on February 3, 2026.
Details of the Order
The NCLAT has remanded the matter back to the Competition Commission of India (CCI) for reconsideration and a fresh decision in accordance with the law. The original case involved Tamil Nadu Powers Producers Association (TNPPA) challenging ECTPL. This challenge questioned the initial order by the CCI, which had dismissed the information under Section 19(1)(a) of the Competition Act, 2002 and concluded that ECTPL did not hold a dominant position in the relevant market.
