JSW Energy Resolution Plan Approved for Raigarh Champa Rail Infrastructure

JSW Energy has received approval for its resolution plan concerning Raigarh Champa Rail Infrastructure Private Limited (RCRIPL) from the Committee of Creditors. The resolution plan was submitted by JSW Energy for RCRIPL under the corporate insolvency resolution process. The Company received a Letter of Intent from the Resolution Professional on November 19, 2025. The closure of the transaction is subject to approval from the National Company Law Tribunal.

Resolution Plan Approval

JSW Energy announced that its resolution plan for Raigarh Champa Rail Infrastructure Private Limited (RCRIPL) has been approved by the Committee of Creditors. This development marks a significant step in the insolvency resolution process of RCRIPL.

Background of Acquisition

The company had earlier informed about the successful implementation and acquisition of KSK Mahanadi Power Company Limited (KMPCL) on March 6, 2025. Following this acquisition, JSW Energy became the holding company of KMPCL, which holds significant indirect ownership in Raigarh Champa Rail Infrastructure Private Limited (RCRIPL).

RCRIPL’s Role

RCRIPL is a sole provider of rail infrastructure services to KMPCL, which owns 1,800 MW operational power plant and another 1,800 MW under construction thermal power plant located in the state of Chhattisgarh.

Next Steps

JSW Energy received a Letter of Intent from the Resolution Professional on November 19, 2025. The closure of the transaction remains subject to the approval from the National Company Law Tribunal.
