JK Lakshmi Cement’s board approved a revision in the scope of its integrated cement plant project in Chhattisgarh. The project’s cost will increase from ₹2,500 Crores to ₹3,000 Crores. The expansion will boost clinker capacity to 12.3 MTPA and cement capacity to 22.6 MTPA, with completion targeted for March 2028.
Capacity Expansion Project Approved
The Board of Directors of JK Lakshmi Cement has approved a revision in the scope of the ongoing capacity addition project at its integrated cement plant in Durg, Chhattisgarh. This decision was made during a meeting held on February 3, 2026.
Revised Project Scope and Investment
The revised scope includes additional equipment and upgrades to railway sidings. Consequently, the project’s cost will increase from ₹2,500 Crores to ₹3,000 Crores. This investment aims to enhance the plant’s overall efficiency and output capacity.
Expected Capacity Increase
Upon completion, scheduled for March 2028, the project will significantly increase the company’s production capabilities. The Clinker capacity is expected to rise from 10 Million Tonnes Per Annum (MTPA) to 12.3 MTPA. Simultaneously, the Cement capacity will be augmented from 18 MTPA to 22.6 MTPA.
