JK Cement Expansion Project Commissioned at Buxar, Bihar

JK Cement has commissioned its 3.00 MnTPA cement grinding unit at its JK Cement Works in Buxar, Bihar. This commissioning is part of the company’s overall 6 MnTPA expansion plan approved on January 20, 2024. The expansion includes clinker capacity expansion and cement grinding capacity across multiple locations. Post-expansion, the company’s overall grey cement production capacity stands at 31.26 MnTPA.

Buxar Cement Grinding Unit Commissioned

JK Cement announced the commissioning of a 3.00 MnTPA cement grinding unit at its JK Cement Works, Buxar, Bihar on January 29, 2026. This development is part of the company’s larger expansion strategy to enhance its production capabilities.

Overall Expansion Plan

The commissioning at Buxar is a component of JK Cement’s overall 6 MnTPA expansion plan. This plan was approved by the Board of Directors on January 20, 2024, and includes the following:

* Brownfield Expansion: Increasing clinker capacity by 3.3 MnTPA (Design – 10,000 TPD, Potential – 12,000 TPD) and cement grinding capacity by 3 MnTPA across Panna, Hamirpur and Prayagraj (1 MnTPA each).
* Greenfield Cement: Setting up a grinding capacity of 3 MnTPA in Bihar.

Production Capacity Update

Following this expansion, JK Cement’s total grey cement production capacity now stands at 31.26 MnTPA, including the capacity of its subsidiary company.
