Jindal Saw estimates the impact may not be material as the affected manufacturing capacity is fungible and has been allocated to other products until the license is restored, which is expected by 06th April 2026.
Regulatory Update on API License
Jindal Saw Ltd. has issued an official intimation regarding a recent development concerning its licensing approval from the American Petroleum Institute (“API”). During a routine API audit, certain Non-conformances (“NCs”) were observed by the auditors. Consequently, the API has issued a suspension letter that restricts the Company from affixing the API monogram on its API seamless pipes.
Company Response and Mitigation Strategy
The management has confirmed that the matter is being addressed suitably, and the Company is taking appropriate corrective measures to resolve the identified NCs. The current approval/license was valid until 06th Apr-2026. Jindal Saw assures stakeholders that the impact of this suspension may not be material. This assessment is based on the fact that the seamless pipe manufacturing capacity is fungible and has already been allocated for the production of other products pending the revocation of the suspension.
