The company’s total expenses stood at ₹118.67 crore, resulting in a profit before exceptional items and tax of ₹29.17 crore.

For the half-year ended September 30, 2025, the company’s total income was ₹310.87 crore, with total expenses of ₹238.24 crore, leading to a profit before exceptional items and tax of ₹72.63 crore.

Segment-Wise Revenue

The power segment reported revenue of ₹143.33 crore for Q2 2025 and ₹302.16 crore for the half-year ended September 30, 2025. The coal segment contributed ₹0.79 crore and ₹1.55 crore for the same periods, respectively.

The profit/loss from operations before finance charges and depreciation for the power segment was ₹52.53 crore for the quarter and ₹116.86 crore for the half-year. The coal segment contributed ₹0.79 crore and ₹1.55 crore, respectively.

Key Financial Metrics

Earnings per share (EPS) for the quarter and half-year ended September 30, 2025 stood at ₹0.27 and ₹0.20, respectively.

Capital Employed

As of September 30, 2025, the company’s capital employed stood at ₹15,893.71 crore.

Contingent Liabilities

The company is addressing show cause notices related to sand mining activities. The High Court of Andhra Pradesh granted interim stay in respect of demand notices. The management believes any liability will be discharged by the sub-contractor.

Notes on Operations

Water availability at the Vishnuprayag Hydro Electric Plant (VHEP) is typically higher in the first half of the financial year, resulting in higher power generation. The generation in the first two quarters accounts for 75-80% of the annual power generation.
