Jaguar Land Rover Q4 FY26 Sales Rebound Following Cyber Incident Recovery

Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) has reported a significant recovery in sales for the fourth quarter of FY26 (January-March 2026). Following a cyber incident that impacted earlier production, the company successfully ramped up manufacturing, leading to a 61.1% increase in wholesale volumes compared to the previous quarter. Despite full-year challenges including US tariffs and market shifts, the brand’s performance in the final quarter indicates a strong stabilization of operations.

Quarterly Performance and Recovery

JLR saw a strong rebound in the final quarter of the financial year, with wholesale volumes reaching 95,300 units. This represents a robust 61.1% growth over the third quarter (October-December 2025), as operations returned to normal levels following a disruptive cyber incident. Retail sales for the quarter followed a similar trend, hitting 92,700 units, reflecting a 16.2% quarter-on-quarter increase.

Annual Sales Overview

For the full fiscal year ending March 31, 2026, JLR reported wholesale volumes of 307,900 units and retail sales of 352,300 units. The annual performance was influenced by several external factors, including US tariffs, market challenges in China, and the strategic phase-out of legacy Jaguar models in anticipation of an upcoming new vehicle launch.

Shift Towards Core Models

The company continues to lean heavily into its most popular vehicle lines. The Range Rover, Range Rover Sport, and Defender models represented a significant 77.1% of total wholesale volumes in the fourth quarter. This is an increase from 66.3% recorded in the same period last year, signaling successful execution of the company’s product strategy.

Strategic Outlook

JLR remains committed to its Reimagine strategy, aiming for carbon net zero across its supply chain and operations by 2039. Electrification remains a central pillar of this vision, with plans to introduce a pure electric model for each brand by the end of the decade, alongside a transition for the Jaguar brand to become entirely electric.
