ITI Limited has partnered with the Kerala government to launch the upgraded version of its online auto and cab booking platform, Kerala Savaari 2.0. Launched on November 4, 2025, the project aims to transform into a multi-modal transport system by December 2025, integrating metro, water metro, and other transport modes. Over 23,000 drivers have already been onboarded.
Kerala Savaari 2.0 Launch
ITI Limited has collaborated with the Government of Kerala to launch Kerala Savaari 2.0, an upgraded online auto and cab booking platform. The launch event occurred on November 4, 2025, and was inaugurated by the State Minister for Labour, Mr. Sivankyutty, in Thiruvananthapuram.
Project Overview and Expansion
The Kerala Savaari platform seeks to evolve into a multi-modal transport system app by December 2025, integrating various modes such as metro, water metro, and feeder buses. The system, which is already operational in Thiruvananthapuram and Kochi, aims to serve as a model for transportation across India. Future plans involve extending operations to additional districts and cities.
Key Features and Benefits
Kerala Savaari operates on a subscription mode, ensuring higher income for drivers through fixed subscription rates. As of now, the project has onboarded 23,000 drivers and facilitated 3,60,000 trips, generating a revenue of Rs. 9.36 Crores for the drivers, with approximately 1200 daily trips.
ITI Limited’s Role
Mr. Rajesh Rai, Chairman and Managing Director of ITI Limited, expressed delight in partnering with the Kerala Government to launch the Kerala Savaari platform. ITI’s Palakkad Unit will provide ongoing technical support. The project addresses the shortcomings identified in the 2022 pilot project.
