Infosys Honors Outstanding Researchers with the Infosys Prize 2025

Infosys Science Foundation awarded the Infosys Prize 2025, recognizing researchers under 40 for exceptional contributions across six categories. Nobel laureate Randy Schekman felicitated the winners with a pure gold medal, a citation, and a USD 100,000 prize. Infosys Prize 2025 Highlights

The Infosys Science Foundation (ISF) awarded the Infosys Prize 2025 to outstanding researchers. The ceremony took place in Bengaluru on January 10, 2026. This marks the 17th year of the prize, which aims to recognize and encourage early-career researchers. The winners received their awards from Nobel laureate Prof. Randy Schekman.

Award Categories and Laureates

The Infosys Prize recognizes contributions across six distinct fields:

  • Economics: Nikhil Agarwal (Massachusetts Institute of Technology) for contributions to market design.
  • Engineering and Computer Science: Sushant Sachdeva (University of Toronto) for insights into mathematical optimization.
  • Humanities and Social Sciences: Andrew Ollett (University of Chicago) for scholarship on Prakrit languages.
  • Life Sciences: Anjana Badrinarayanan (National Centre for Biological Sciences, Bangalore) for contributions to understanding mechanisms of genome maintenance and repair.
  • Mathematical Sciences: Sabyasachi Mukherjee (Tata Institute of Fundamental Research, Mumbai) for work linking dynamics of Kleinian group actions.
  • Physical Sciences: Karthish Manthiram (California Institute of Technology) for work on sustainable electrochemical routes.
