IHCL’s expansion includes a controlling stake in Atmantan for wellness offerings and an agreement to acquire 51% stake in Brij, for experiential leisure. The Indian Hotels Company Limited (IHCL) continues expanding its brand presence, reaching a total portfolio of 615 hotels. This figure includes 360 operational hotels and a pipeline of 255 additional properties.

Expanding Brandscape

IHCL’s strategy involves diversifying its offerings. The recent acquisition of a controlling stake in Atmantan signals a move into integrated wellness. Furthermore, definitive agreements are in place to acquire a 51% stake in Brij, a boutique experiential leisure brand.

Key Signings and Openings

Recent key signings include expanding Taj’s presence in major metro areas like Bengaluru and NCR, plus growth in Sri Lanka and Egypt. Gateway, Tree of Life, and Ginger brands have also experienced sustained growth with signings across various locations including Bengaluru, Panheli, Nashik, Gurugram and Ahmedabad.

Operational Milestones

Recent openings include Taj properties in Bhutan (Paro and Phobjika), SeleQtions properties in Mandawa, Nadiad and Varanasi, Brij in Bandhavgarh, Tree of Life in Sariska, Vivanta in Aluva (Cochin) and Ginger in Ekta Nagar, as well as Ahmedabad and Gurugram. These openings bring IHCL’s total operating hotels to 360, accounting for over 32,000 rooms.

Strategic Outlook
