HDFC Asset Management Company announced key leadership transitions effective in March 2026. Mr. Shobhit Mehrotra will step down as Head – Fixed Income upon attaining superannuation on March 7, 2026. He will transition to a new strategic role as Head – New Initiatives – Fixed Income starting March 16, 2026. Concurrently, Mr. Anil Bamboli will take charge as the new Head – Fixed Income effective March 7, 2026. Both executives will continue to report directly to the MD & CEO.
Senior Management Reshuffle at HDFC AMC
HDFC Asset Management Company Limited has disclosed significant changes concerning its Senior Management Personnel within the Fixed Income vertical, following recommendations from the Nomination and Remuneration Committee. The Board of Directors formally approved these changes on March 6, 2026.
Transition of Mr. Shobhit Mehrotra
Mr. Shobhit Mehrotra, associated with the company since February 16, 2004, will be relinquishing his role as Head – Fixed Income due to reaching the company’s stipulated superannuation age. This cessation is effective from March 7, 2026.
Further utilizing his extensive experience, the Board has decided to retain Mr. Mehrotra in a newly created capacity. Effective March 16, 2026, he will assume the role of Head – New Initiatives – Fixed Income, focusing on credit analysis and strategic growth areas. Prior to joining HDFC AMC, Mr. Mehrotra had experience with Franklin Templeton Investments and ICRA Limited.
Appointment of Mr. Anil Bamboli
Mr. Anil Bamboli, currently serving as Senior Fund Manager – Fixed Income, is slated to take over the primary leadership role for the department. Mr. Bamboli will be re-designated and appointed as the new Head – Fixed Income, effective March 7, 2026.
Mr. Bamboli has been with HDFC AMC since July 2003, previously serving as Assistant Vice President – Fixed Income and later as Senior Fund Manager – Fixed Income. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst and holds a Master’s degree from the University of Mumbai. Before joining HDFC AMC, he worked with SBI Funds Management Private Limited.
Reporting Structure Confirmation
Both Mr. Mehrotra (in his new role) and Mr. Bamboli will now form part of the Senior Management Personnel as per the Listing Regulations and will both report directly to Mr. Navneet Munot, the Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer of the Company.
