HCLFoundation marks the 10th anniversary of the HCLTech Grant, supporting rural development projects by NGOs in India. Since 2015, it has invested over ₹169 crore, impacting 2.3 million lives. With 49 completed and 18 active projects, the Grant drives inclusive change, having conserved 114 million litres of water and treated 0.12 hectares of land. The annual outlay increases to ₹24 crore, supporting Water, Biodiversity, Education, and Healthcare projects.
A Decade of Impact
HCLFoundation is celebrating the 10th anniversary of the HCLTech Grant, a flagship initiative that supports innovative rural development projects across India through Non-Government Organizations (NGOs). The anniversary highlights a decade of transformative impact and significant contributions to rural communities.
Key Achievements Since 2015
Since its inception in 2015, the HCLTech Grant has invested over ₹169 crore in various projects, positively impacting the lives of approximately 2.3 million people. This investment reflects the program’s commitment to fostering sustainable development and improving the quality of life in rural India.
The program’s credibility is evident in the impressive figures it has garnered, including more than 87,000 registrations and over 13,000 proposals received from NGOs throughout its 10 editions. Currently, there are 49 completed projects and 18 active projects, all contributing to the advancement of inclusive change at the grassroots level.
Impact at Scale
Over the past decade, the HCLTech Grant program has delivered substantial impact at scale:
- 114 million litres of water conserved
- 245 water bodies constructed/rejuvenated
- 67,095 tons reduction in carbon emissions
- 2,722 tons of waste recycled/ brought under sustainable management
- 1.77 lac saplings planted
- 0.12 hectares land area treated
Increased Investment
Starting with the 11th edition of the program, HCLFoundation has announced a 45% increase in annual outlay, bringing the total to ₹24 crore. The latest edition will focus on key areas such as Water, Biodiversity, Education, and Healthcare. Each winning NGO will receive ₹5 crore for a four-year project, while eight runner-up NGOs will each receive ₹50 lakh for a two-year project.
