The Great Eastern Shipping Company has contracted to sell its 2011 built Kamsarmax Dry Bulk Carrier, Jag Aarati of about 80,324 dwt on December 18, 2025, to an unaffiliated third party. The vessel is expected to be delivered to the new buyer in Q4 FY26. Following this sale, the company’s fleet will consist of 40 vessels.
Vessel Divestment
The Great Eastern Shipping Company announced on December 18, 2025, that it has entered into an agreement to sell its 2011-built Kamsarmax Dry Bulk Carrier, named Jag Aarati. This vessel has a capacity of approximately 80,324 dwt.
Transaction Details
The sale is to an unaffiliated third party, and the delivery of Jag Aarati to the new owner is scheduled for Q4 FY26.
Fleet Composition
Post this sale, Great Eastern Shipping’s owned fleet will comprise a total of 40 vessels. This includes 26 tankers (consisting of 6 crude tankers, 16 product tankers, and 4 LPG carriers) and 14 dry bulk carriers (with 2 Capesize, 10 Kamsarmax, and 2 Supramax). The aggregate capacity of the fleet will be 3.32 mn dwt.
Additional Transactions
The company has also contracted to sell one Suezmax crude tanker, with the transaction anticipated for completion in Q3 FY26. In addition, they’ve agreed to purchase a secondhand Ultramax dry bulk carrier, expected to be completed in Q4 FY26.
