This acquisition, finalized on December 31, 2025, will expand the company’s fleet. The 2013 South Korean built vessel is expected to join the fleet in Q4 FY26. The acquisition will be financed entirely through internal accruals, supporting the company’s growth strategy.
Tanker Acquisition
The Great Eastern Shipping Company Limited (G E Shipping) announced that it has contracted to buy a secondhand Medium Range Tanker. The tanker has a capacity of about 51,565 dwt. The purchase was agreed upon on December 31, 2025.
Fleet Expansion
The company plans to incorporate the acquired vessel into its existing fleet. The 2013 South Korean built vessel is expected to join the Company’s fleet in Q4 FY26, which will enhance its operational capabilities.
Financial Details
The acquisition of the tanker will be fully financed through the company’s internal accruals, ensuring minimal impact on its financial structure. The company’s current fleet stands at 39 vessels, comprising 25 Tankers and 14 Dry Bulk Carriers, aggregating 3.17 mn dwt. The current capacity utilization is close to 100%.
Additional Transactions
In addition to the Medium Range Tanker acquisition, the company has also contracted to buy one secondhand Very Large Gas Carrier, buy one secondhand Ultramax Dry Bulk Carrier, sell one Kamsarmax Dry Bulk Carrier “Jag Aarati” and sell one Very Large Gas Carrier “Jag Vishnu”. These transactions are expected to be completed in Q4 FY26.
