Gravita India Limited has formally disclosed the completion of a capacity addition at its lead recycling facility situated in Mundra, Gujarat. This strategic enhancement aligns with the company’s long-term goals to strengthen its recycling capabilities and capture increasing global and local demand for sustainable lead products.
Key Details of the Addition
The company provided specific details regarding the expansion, which is set to be finalized within the Financial Year 2025-26. The current existing capacity was 64,800 MTPA, which was noted as being close to full utilization.
The capacity addition approved amounts to 80,300 MTPA. The rationale behind this expansion is to meet the growing market need for responsibly sourced lead products.
Investment and Financing
The total investment required for this enhancement is approximately Rs. 49.00 Crores. Gravita India plans to finance this capital expenditure entirely through internal accruals, demonstrating strong internal liquidity and financial health.
