Godrej Consumer Products Limited (GCPL) announced on March 12, 2026, that it has been ranked #1 globally in the FMCG category on the prestigious Dow Jones Best-in-Class Sustainability Index 2025. This is the first time the emerging markets FMCG leader has secured the top position on this globally recognized benchmark.
Assessment Performance and Milestone
The recognition stems from GCPL’s strong performance in the S&P Global’s Corporate Sustainability Assessment (CSA). GCPL secured an outstanding score of 89 out of 100 in the Personal Products category. The CSA evaluated over 3500 companies globally, assessing performance across critical Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) criteria, including emission reductions, water management, sustainable sourcing, and labor practices.
Furthermore, this year marks a significant milestone as GCPL completed 10 years of active participation in the CSA, signaling a decade of commitment to transparency and embedding sustainability into its core business strategy.
